i just started playing cod 2 online on my 360 but my ping is always 800+ my router that i am connected to through the ethernet cable is top of the line. why is my ping so lousy and how can i fix it?

try connecting the cable modem directly to the 360 and see if your ping i lower. if it is then you know it is a problem with the router. you might have to open some ports or something.
